Pebble Creek is the only nursing facility in the State of Ohio that features a Life Trail/Fitness Path for their residents. Our Life Trail is composed of a series of ten outdoor “Wellness Stations.” The Life Trail provides enjoyable strengthening, flexibility and balance activities that address the major components of a well-rounded fitness program for active older adults.
Research has proven that exercise is more effective when performed out-of-doors. Walking is the most common form of outdoor recreation among older adults. Life Trail is specifically designed to provide users with the opportunity to both walk in a natural environment and use the age appropriate designed activities to stretch and strengthen the body. Because the exercise stations create stopping points along the path, they also become social gathering places where people can exercise with friends.
Our Life Trail is beautifully landscaped with shade trees, mulch beds, flowers, benches, water fall and pond which are supplied with fish and aquatic plants. Adjacent to our pond is a patio and sitting wall which enables our residents and families to sit, observe the fish and listen to the tranquil water fall.
