Chardon healthcare center unveils honor 360 Program

(Chardon, OH, July 21, 2015) ― Chardon Healthcare Center will unveil its new Honor 360 program from 3p.m. to 5p.m on Wednesday, July 22 at the facility located at 620 Water Street, Chardon, Ohio.

A growing number of U.S. veterans in our communities struggle with chronic disorders or are in need of rehabilitative care following a hospital stay. Honor 360 is designed to care for the complex medical needs of veterans, including traumatic brain injuries, amputations and other combat-related injuries. Services include skilled rehabilitation, long-term care, respite care, hospice, wound care and pulmonary and cardiac care. The mission of Honor 360 is to provide specialized services and emotional support to tend to the needs of veterans in a post-acute care setting.
The event will include a grand unveiling of the program and ribbon cutting ceremony, an introduction of the Resident Veteran of Honor, Gertrude Holtz, a tribute to America’s veterans by Mayor Philip King and Ohio Senator Capri Cafaro, a pinning ceremony by the Chardon American Legion and an unveiling of the “Wall of Heroes.”
“The Chardon Healthcare team acknowledges the sacrifices made by our veterans and their families,” said the facility’s Executive Director Richard Gebhard. “We understand that the freedoms we enjoy today are not free. We would like to express our most heartfelt gratitude to all of the U.S. Veterans and their families, especially those that we care for here at Chardon Healthcare.”
