Four CommuniCare Facilities Earn Bronze, Silver Quality Awards

BLUE ASH, Ohio – Four CommuniCare skilled nursing centers were recipients of 2023 Silver and Bronze Quality Awards by the American Health Care Association and National Center for Assisted Living (AHCA/NCAL). The program recognizes organizations that meet progressively rigorous standards of performance to further improve the lives of residents and staff in long-term care.

This year, three CommuniCare centers were named Silver – Achievement in Quality Award winners, including Cabell Healthcare Center in Culloden, WV, Cameron Healthcare Center in Cameron, WV, and Lincoln Healthcare Center in Hamlin, WV. Hillcrest Healthcare Center in Danville, WV, received the Bronze – Commitment to Quality Award.

The program has three progressive award levels: Bronze, Silver, and Gold. Applicants adhere to the criteria of the Baldrige Performance Excellence Program to evaluate and improve their processes, creating a systematic approach that leads to and sustains positive results.

This year, the Silver Award was presented to 72 providers in 27 states. Nearly 400 long-term care providers from 47 states achieved the Bronze Award. The Association will announce the 2023 Gold Awards in August.

The awards will be presented during the AHCA/NCAL Convention & Expo in October in Denver, Colorado.
