CommuniCare's Specialty Care Centers for persons with dementia or Alzheimer's disease provide safe and supportive residential environments that include a wide range of services to assist the residents in retaining their independence. We design these centers with the Alzheimer's patient in mind, equipping them to provide more specialized services than long-term care centers. Residents can personalize their suites, families are welcome to visit at all hours and specially trained staff use visual and verbal cues to gently remind residents where they are and what is happening. In addition, therapeutic recreation, leisure activities and grooming skills aid the resident in remaining as independent as possible.
